Hocico will be releasing the first appetizer for the forthcoming album in form of the single “Dog Eat Dog” at the end of June, right on time for the band’s show at the E-Tropolis festival in Berlin.
2010 will definitely be a good year for all you Hocicones! Erk puts on a diabolic grin and says: “We are about to bite you again… and you will like it!”

Over at the festival website, arvikafestivalen.se, it was announced in a long statement last week that the Festival are leaving the synth music scene after this year.
They clame that they “can’t find inspiration in the genre” and are more into other electronic music these days.

Besides the work for the new album, Grendel are going to re-release the bands two first releases “Inhumane Amusement” and “End of Ages” as a 2CD-set later this year.
To accompany the combined 2CD re-release, the band will be including a selection of covers and interpretations of these tracks by both established & newcomer artists in the industrial/EBM scene.

I rated the debut album “Rise From Grey” by Blume with the top rating 10 out of 10 and it was selected album of the month for April. After my review of the album I thought it was a good idea to talk with the band regarding the album, the band itself and the future.

The XP8 song “The God Particle” taken from their 2005-album “Hrs:Min:Sec” is featured on a soundtrack for a movie-documentary.
The song was chosen in 2010 to be part of the soundtrack of “La Particella Di Dio”, a movie-documentary produced by Logovideo and dedicated to the life and work of Massimo Corbucci, the Italian physic who proposed an alternate to the Higgs-Boson theory.

Torny Gottberg, the frontman and leadsinger of the dark EBM act Project-X just announced his solo-project.
