Artist: 6ct Humour Title: iHuman Format: Album Label: Sonic-X Genre: Electropop, Synthpop Release date: April 2, 2010 |
The German trio of 6ct Humour was formed in 2008 and self-released their EP last year with “Dropping A Dime”. They are now signed to the sub-label Sonic-X of Danse Macabre and are currently available with their debut album “iHuman” containing 12 new tracks.
The first impressions of what type of music they make is soft synthpop with an edge of electro. With a moody and slow sound structure with emotional tunes the band delivers a pretty catchy album. However, I think there is a lack of variation and more or less every track has the same structure. That’s why I really got surpised and lift my eye brows a bit when I got to the track “Wagnis Und Traum” with its darker tone and deep sound.
The production is not top-notch, but nevertheless “iHuman” offers bright and clear vocals and is a pretty enjoyable album if you like the more densed and calm synthpop.
