Arian 1 - Immersion

9/10

Artist: Arian 1
Title: Immersion
Format: CD
Label: Orion Records
Genre: Electronic, Futurepop, Industrial
Release date: March 12, 2010

Started back in 1992 in Lima, the two brothers Eduardo and Cesar Leiva began and experimented with different styles in the electronic music scene, but it was in 2007 Arian 1 released their first single in “Machine Gun”, followed by the first album “Evolution” but also added Mariano López to the band line-up. Now the band are signed to the Latin American label Orion Records to release their new album “Immersion” featuring 9 new tracks.

The opening track – and also the title track – “Immersion” is a great song with a really addictive melody. The music is best described as Futurepop with some touches of EBM and a blend of Industrial elements. Eduardo’s voice is just brilliant and very easy to like. It fits perfectly with the music to create that really good feeling. The rest of the album is – I assure you – no let-down. It continues in the same way as it started and delivers one powerful track after the other.

With easy, but yet very addictive melodies that easily stuck to your mind together with a great beat the album has many songs that surely fit on the dancefloor. “No Time” and “Immersion” is probably my favorite tracks on the album, but the complete album is something I really recommend. Some tracks are a bit harder then the other like “Stomper” or “Ionic Body” but with driving beats, beautiful soundscapes and as mentioned earlier, a great voice, “Immersion” is an amazing album.
