Christer Hermodsson, formerly known as a member in the cult space group S.P.O.C.K. and Sista Mannen På Jorden, came up with the idea of Biomekkanik back in 2001 while producing another band. Signed with Subspace in late 2008 and in mid-2009 the debut album “State Of Perfection” is released.

Don’t expect this to be anything like S.P.O.C.K. or SMPJ. Biomekkanik is nothing like his earlier projects, it got a more EBM and industrial touch to it with a blend of rock. At some points on a couple of tracks – with its sound structure – I draw the comparison to Nine Inch Nails or even Oomph!, but I also hears And One on some tracks.

The song Pitch Black Ocean is one of my favorites with its great set of melodic electronics together with emotional lyrics, but the true masterpiece is the title track State Of Perfection including some really great electronic tunes for your ears and catchy hooklines. It’s a good record with some really great electronic structure but I think the rockier feeling takes over to much on a couple of tracks. “State Of Perfection” got heavy beats for your feets and great vocals for your ears. Recommended tracks: State Of Perfection, Pitch Black Ocean and Be Like Us.
