“The Muse In The Machine” is the debut album of Chicago-based Industrial/Down-tempo project Candle Nine. Signed with US label Tympanik Audio, the album was released at the beginning of the year and features 11 tracks including 2 remixes from labelmates Access To Arasaka and Autoclav1.1.

The album starts out very beautiful with the track “Internally Threaded” and it’s a six-minute long journey of ambient soundscapes, a very soft and calm atmosphere to an amazing beat structure. This is like a red thread through the entire album and some tracks has a little more shattered structure with noise and IDM sequences present.

This is normally not my kind of music style but lately I’ve found it very calming and relaxing listening to this kind of music. A really love the glitched synths and the beautiful ambient soundscapes. Industrial and Ambient fans would definately not get disappointed.
