Club Bluescreen @ Compagniet – November 12, 2010
On November 12 it was time for a new arrangement for Club Bluescreen. For the third time we housed at the local venue Compagniet in Karlshamn and got three Swedish acts from the electronic music scene with three different styles.
Catchy synthpop from Mars TV, harsh EBM/Aggrotech from D-ToX and beautiful electropop from Kite.
Different this time from earlier arrangements is that we only booked three bands instead of four to get more time for the dancefloor and I think it worked out well this time.
First out was Mars TV, and I must say it wasn’t very convincing during the soundcheck but all that was like blown away when the show started. With fast-pased and catchy melodies from start to finished the band delivered a really great show and I think many who was there agree with me. One thing that was really funny was when the singer handed out the mic to a guy in the auidence to sing a refrain, and actually he did it very good.
Later on it was time for some heavier music from D-ToX. Once again a great show was a fact. However, the band suffered from a couple of technical difficulties during the show but handled that out very quickly. Well done.
Last out was the electropop duo Kite, who recently released their new EP “III”. I think this was what many of tonights guests had been waiting for and I can’t agree more. They started out with my favorite song in “A Little More Time”, from their latest EP and delivered a high class performance from start. However, I missed the popular song “Ways To Dance” from the setlist.
After a final hour at the DJ booth it was time to head home. Thank you very much for a great evening and to everyone who attended to the shows. Hope to see you next time.
