Artist: Daybehavior Title: Silent Dawn Format: Digital Single Label: No Label / Self-released Genre: Electropop Release date: May 13, 2011 |
Late last year saw the comeback single “It’s A Game” from Swedish Electropop act Daybehavior. Now it’s time for their second single, and the next step forward for their upcoming third studio album “Follow that Car!”.
“Silent Dawn” is a much more mellow song compared to the previous single. Instead of the really catchy tune and melody it included, here you are presented with a really emotional atmosphere but yet with a really cool melodic structure. The different layers are beautifully composed and the sound builds up this intriguish setting. Then Paulinda gives a magical touch with her amazing voice.
Besides the title track, the single comes with three additional remixes, signed Parralox, Paramaterial and People Theatre. Parralox have really managed to turn this song into a great catchy track with a faster and more danceable beat. The Paramaterial remix is a much deeper version. I love the piano arrangements that are present in the background and the 80′s analogue synths are beautiful. It really gives you a nice feeling. We’ve got a lot of remixes from People Theatre the last couple of months. This remix definately falls into the category of the better ones and once again Peter deliver a very strong remix.
I must say every track on this single keep you interested and all are very great. Although the first track still is a good one, “Silent Dawn” feels more mature and worked through. Outstanding. However, I still miss that additional and exclusive b-side. It wasn’t included on the previous single and isn’t here either.
