One of the latest signings on german label Remote Music, Deviant UK, are currently available with their new EP “Wreckhead” and features 10 remixes from well known acts like Grendel and Assemblage 23.
The first track, also the title track, reminds me very much of Swedish Electro/Industrial band Malaise from their “Reassimilated” EP. Even if this is a really good EP with lots of amazing tunes and heavy beats destined for the clubs, I feel it hard to get a good view of actual music from Deviant UK himself as the album version of “Wreckhead” is the only original one. Even if this is a remix EP, I really miss two or three songs in its original shape. Although, the songs delivers strong melodies, heavy and fast-paced beats.
I’m looking forward to the new studio album “Very.Bad.Things” to be released in 2011. Are you?
