Accually, up until a few months ago I really got my eyes open for Faderhead. I’ve seen the name before like on his former label Accession Records but I can’t really say the reason to why I have missed to listen to Faderhead earlier.

“Horizon Born” is an EP containing five songs and released one year after finishing up his trilogy with latest album “FH3″. From what I’ve heard during these past months from Faderhead this EP is completely different from the music released on his albums. “Horizon Born” includes ballads-only and the only comparison I’ve found to earlier songs that really got the same effect is one of his downloadable track “Exit Ghost”.

I really like this EP. All songs features emotional lyrics together with beautiful melodies and atmospheric electronics. It is all mixed up to give the listener wonderful elemental melodies with a slight feel of sentimental orchestral instruments. The music is bubbling with a melancholic touch and I get a very delighted feeling of wanting more.
