A little over a year have passed since I:Scintilla teased with their “Prey On You” EP. The new album “Dying & Falling” is out and it continues on what the EP showed us.
The industrial/metal approach fused with heavy guitar riffs and beautiful melodies I think the band deliver a strong album. Although, the seductive and amazing voice of Brittany is stunning and make the songs sound so much better.
However, I feel that the electronic elements and soundscapes more works as a background curtain to the rock-based structure. Which I really think is sad because from what you can hear they sound great. “Prey On You” appears in a great electropop version and offer a sweet treat for your ears.
A great production is present once again from Wade Alin. Be sure not to miss the mellow and beautiful “Worth The Wait” or “The Shake” nor the very catchy and up-tempo “Swimmers Can Drown” and “Mothership”.
