Krystal System - Underground Voodoo Night Sessions Artist: Krystal System
Title: Underground: Voodoo Night Sessions
Format: EP
Label: Alfa Matrix
Genre: Electronic
Release date: November 27, 2009

The end of November sees the light of the new Krystal System EP “Underground: VooDoo Night Sessions”, featuring 5 tracks from the “Underground” album, released in 2008, which has been totally rewritten after having totally revamped and upgraded their studio environment. Also included is two versions of the Depeche Mode-classic “Master And Servant”.

This is the first I’ve heard from Krystal System so I can’t really recall to how the sound is on their debut album “Underground”. After hearing a couple of samples of the earlier songs included on the album, I think the music is much more deeper with heavy-pounding beats, cool syntheziers, heavy guitar riffs and a much more clearer sound. For my own personal point of view I think this mix between rock, metal industrial and electronic sounds is a bit too much and nothing that suits my taste. Another thing I can’t handle is this French-English accent from the singer, I think it sounds really weird. A side from the heavy guitars the music offers some really nice and cool electro synth sequences at some points.
