Charles Rehill, also known as the man behind the one-man project Lost Signal, released his latest album in 2006, “Eviscerate”. But since then it’s been completely quiet from the band. But now he’s back with a new EP, entitled “Apparition” and is available as a digital download.
Even though this is only an EP, I still think “Eviscerate” is his best work to date. Refining his sound, the EP give the listeners beautiful songs with harmonic soundscapes and sweet melodies and a pounding beat structure. Charles has a great voice and all songs are good but I feel it is very experimental with Ambient soundcapes and don’t quite get up to the same point as “Eviscerate”.
However, the songs have a much better production work then his previous work and feels more professional. A guess the songs will grow more with time, though I really miss that wow-feeling on any of the tracks like Locked Away that really is a true masterpiece, featured on the “Eviscerate” album. The EP is highly recommended and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
