PreEmptive Strike 0.1 is the two-man army of Jim The Blaster and Cryon. This Greece duo started the project in 2002 and was later signed to Infacted Recordings in 2005. With two albums in their back (“Lethal Defense Systems” (2006) and “Extinction Reprogrammed” (2008) the duo is now back with their third studio album “The Kosmokrator” and once again with beautiful artwork.

The album opens with a dark voice saying ’3000 BC’ before the heavier sounds enters the song. The music is harsh and dark with striking melodies with a club appeal and the eastern elements give the music an extra boost. The addition of the famous Greek instrument, a real Buzuki, creates marvelous melodies and it just sounds so beautiful.

Modern EBM with heavily distorted vocals is a great combination and I think the duo managed to put out their very best on this one, bringing their sound to the next level, both soundwise and with production. The album includes a couple of collaborations with other bands including EX-ES, FGFC820, Lamia and death metals V28, which is really obvious in the song “Interstelar” which is heavily fused with powerful electric guitars and voice from the bands singer. Expect a massive club experience with great tracks like “3000BC/Astral God Race”, “Proteus Preyers” or even “Robotic Disintegrator”.

Additionally to the first eleven tracks the album includes four remixes by C-Drone Defect, E.S.C., Mesmer’s Eyes and Alien Product. All well-known acts in the Dark Electro scene.

Great soundscapes to the thematology of sci-fi “The Kosmokrator” is a true smasher with many potential club hits delivering their best work to date.
