Intensified and elegant! That are probably the first words that comes up in my mind when listening to the new album from Stendeck. Every song kinda builds its way up with several different layers of sound, gritty and dirty industrial elements, incredible rhythmic structures and ambient soundscapes.

The intensified word would probably come from the striking and powerful rhythms that every track deliver while the elegant part constantly captivates your mind with beautiful soundscapes of ambient noises that almost puts you in a calm and mellow stage. Think that you are just lying in open water and dream yourself away with nothing bother your mind.

One could think that 17 (!) tracks would be too much and hard to have the time for listening through the entire 71 minutes. But I would say that “Scintilla” easily captivates you enough to really enjoy this album. It brings both emotions of sadness and joy.

“Scintilla” could easily be one of the best within its genre and Stendeck proves that he is among the top names delivering rhythmic and experimental IDM.
