System is the creation of Herr A and Herr B, a Swedish duo that was formed already back in the mid-90′s. But it was not until 2003 the debut album “Silicon Based” was released through Lobotom Records. After that the band signed with Progress Productions to handle all future releases. Two studio albums later the duo is back with their fourth studio album “Circle Of Infinite Radius”.
With this new album, Herr A and Herr B bring their sound to the next level with a heavier sound structure which is noticed right away. The clever melodies and clean analogue synthesizers are still there like in the beautiful opener “For You”. It sounds so simple and yet this emotional song deliver so much. I really like the robotic voice especially when it has that singing character, but in some songs it become to stiff and just sound weird. The very melodic “True Loyalty” or even the very driving “Pitch Black” is another two gems you’ll find.
Although, it’s very easy to love the music and the album deliver a great danceable charisma with powerful rhythms and really cool soundscapes. The production work is great and for sure an album you should check out!
