The Eternal Afflict “Ion” (CD Afflict Me)

The Eternal Afflict - Ion Artist: The Eternal Afflict
Title: Ion
Format: Album
Label: Afflict Me Records
Genre: Electronic, Gothic
Release date: July 3, 2009

The Eternal Afflict have been producing music since 1990, but “Ion” is the first album I’ve heard with them. The first limited edition of “Ion” comes with a bonus disc with remixes and unreleased material.

While listening on this album and looking at the desciption of this album and reading something like “The new The Eternal Afflict album Ion is an absolute ‘must-have’ for all lovers of dark electronic sounds.”, I start to think how they came up with it because it’s nothing I can agree with. I must say I really suffered through the entire album. Sorry, but I didn’t get the feeling of anything good from this album, besides the intrumental track Drama For One, it got a great feeling to it with a pretty nice melody, my hope of something more like this started to rise but that was the last track so the small glimpse of light was put out before it even had the chance to spread. Other then that, just boring and painful.
