The .invalid is a new project based in Edinburgh, UK. Heavy beats, a deep bass with dirty Industrial elements is the recipe here. “To:Dust” is the first demo from Seamus Bradd, the man behind the project.

The music and vocal structure reminds a lot of the one that Imperative Reaction uses and to draw similarities is not hard. But there are some elements that parts the two apart, resulting in something own without sounding like a copy.

However, for being a first demo, He actually have done it pretty well. The quality of the music is really good with a couple of really interesting soundscapes, but yet the vocals can be improved. I don’t know if it’s just the setting, but at some points it sound really poor.

Even though it only includes three tracks is not a problem, it only leave you with the feeling of wanting more. Musicwise, all tracks keep a very high standard and would easily keep you interested. Get te demo for free and enjoy the music. I would definately want to hear more and it would really be exciting to hear a full album release from this guy.
