Transit Poetry is one of the latest signings on German label Remote Music. This German band released its first release back in 2004 and since then they have put out two more albums. 2011 sees the return with this first single “Little Buddha” which is the pre-release of the fourth studio album “Pedestrians In The Sky” scheduled for February.

This band is all new to me and I must say this was a surprise. It’s sweet and beautiful electropop with some hints of rock. Sascha’s voice is really beautiful and he does a great job here. I really like that cracked voice he delivers at some points. “Little Buddha” is a strong track with great soundscapes and a steady rhythm. A clubbier version is presented with all the rockier intruments stripped.

But the actual hit song on this single is “Astronauts & Butterflies”. The radio version has this orchestral elements which make it sound so beautiful. Even the melody is really catchy and it get stuck in your head very easily. Also here you’re served with a club version which is heavier with more electronic elements and don’t feel that mainstream.

The two last tracks is two completely different ones, but they have one thing in common. Both has a very mellow appearence. The first of them feels more experimental in the electronic instruments with some ambient soundscapes and background atmosphere while the other bring the guitars up front.

There is much variation here, which is actually pretty good with great production and I think this appetizer is really strong. If you want more after hearing this, you’ll just have to wait until February for the studio album.
