Infacted Recordings brings you back to the 80′s with their new series of EBM classics and the first act is Tribantura with their cult release “Lack Of Sense” which once was released on Techno Drome International back in 1988. This MCD is totally remastered with new artwork and only limited to a 1000 copies.
“Lack Of Sense” is a 6-track MCD including the original release together with a couple of extra tracks and with an outstanding cover artwork. If you are an EBM-fanatic or just the fact that you want to get introduced to the classics of EBM from the 80s, this is a great cd to get. It’s also available as a digital download if you’re from the music download generation.
I must say I’ve never really liked the classical EBM-sound. It doesn’t fall in the category of my taste. I’m not saying it is bad, it just doesn’t satisfy me. Something I didn’t like is usage of the same samples in different tracks, it just makes the songs (in this case ‘Getting Hurt Or Killed’ and ‘Relief’) sound so alike. The track I like the most though is Bequest.
Great props go out to Torben Schmidt for starting this EBM Classixx-series. It gives you something ‘new’ (if I can call it that) in between all these boring, and often awful compilations. At this time of writing, three more releases in this series has been comfirmed. Next up is Shift, followed by X Marks The Pedwalk and The Invincible Spirit.
