This must be the most classic compilation release in modern time. If you already can call it that. Featuring only club hits released by Dependent Records in its early years up until they temporarily closed down the business in 2007.
Just take a look at the tracklist. Only the name of what music is included here give away the answer of what you get.
Covenant’s “Der Leiermann”, “Further” from VNV Nation, Suicide Commando with “Hellraiser” or even the ever popular “Hooked” from Seabound is probably something every electronic soul have heard sometime during the last ten years. One of my own favorites in “December” from Pride And Fall are also included in the very rare Below Zero remix.
“Dependent Club Anthems” covers some very powerful club hits from Dependent as a label and it shows off in a great way. Many of the tracks are in one way or the other has almost an nostalgic status of electro fans out there and in what better way can we support the bands we love then to invest in a future classic release like this.
