Tanzlabor Vol.1 compilation is the release just in time to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of the Rhein/Main-based German club Tanzlabor. Every first friday in every month DJ Data and DJ Der Rote Faden presents the the best of EBM/Electro/TBM and Synthpop. This compilation features music from many well-known bands like Hocico, Reaper, SITD, Frozen Plasma to just name a few.

A good thing is that the sampler includes music from a wide range of styles from the electronic music scene so the chance that you will find something you’ll like here is big. Harsh EBM from Mexican Gods Hocico, Driving TBM from Reaper or Eisenfunk, Old school EBM from Orange Sector, Futurepop/electro from Frozen Plasma is what you can find. Notable is that the Frozen Plasma song is an exclusive DJ Mix of “The End” not released before and to see the good old “Lebensborn” from SITD’s first album “Stronghold” is something I didn’t expect seven years after the release. It only shows that it’s an amazing song.

The compilation is a great way if you’re new to the genre and want to discover the music over the past decade so it’s definately something I can recommend.
