US-based Wideband Network is the electropop collaboration of Casey Clark and Caesar Filori. Their debut album “Universe” was released on A Different Drum in 2003 and since then the duo have managed to release a second album along with numerous singles.
2011 sees the return of this talented duo with the single “Time” that features 4 versions of the title track. A new album is also in the works.
“Time” is a beautifully composed track with a very dreamy atmosphere, a great rhythmic feeling together with amazing vocals from Casey Clark. I really love the soundscapes on this one. It’s emotional, clever and very intense together with a really beautiful melody. Even the guitars, that are put on a very good level, sounds great in the background are giving the track that little extra push. The track offer a very well production and likings of Michigan, Iris or Color Theory should not be disappointed.
However, the album version and the radio version sounds to alike eachother and the instrumental isn’t far behind even though the instruments itself is really amazing to just listen to. A b-side would have done it to this amazing track. The early demo version is cool though and sound way more electronic then the final version. Be sure to not miss this outstanding single!
