The Birthday Massacre first appeared on European stages five years ago. A new extensive tour is planned for late 2010 to promote their new studio album “Pins And Needles” out on Dependent Records September 17th. I got the chance to do an interview with Chibi, the female singer of the band and she talked about the new album, the process during the creation and also told me that she hate deadlines ;)

Hocico out with new album “Tiempos De Furia” on October 1st

Today, Erc And Racso revealed the tracklist and cover artwork for the new Hocico album “Tiempos De Furia” to be released on October 1st on Out Of Line.

The new album also comes as a limited edition with a bonus disc and 3D cover art, as well as a lavish fan box with a myriad of extras.

Earlier this summer the band released the forerunner “Dog Eat Dog” single as an appetizer for the new album, featuring remixes with Aesthetic Perfection and Solitary Experiments among others. Read More

First band revealed for electrixmas festival 2010

The autumn and the cold weather is getting closer for every day that passes by and soon it’s time for the annual christmas festival electrixmas at Inkonst in Malmö.

The first band have been revealed for the festival and it’s no less then Covenant. The band is currently working on their forthcoming album “Modern Ruin” and will be preceeded with the single “Lightbringer”.

At this point the single and album don’t have any release date but maybe their out just in time for the festival which will take place on December 18th.

XMTP DVD “Visual Journey” slightly delayed for late September

Infacted Recordings announced today that the Live DVD “Visual Journey” by X-Marks The Pedwalk will be delayed!

Due to a mistake on the master DVD copy just before the first pressing the label had to push back the release a couple of weeks, so the new release date is set to September 24th.

In cooperation with german concert agency INMOVE we managed to get them together for a unique re-union concert at this year edition of famous german WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN in Leipzig. Read More

Faderhead release new album “Black Friday” in October

Faderhead have finished the recording and mixing for the new album “Black Friday” which is scheduled to be released on October 8th.

The album is a 16-track conceptual album of a friday night gone wrong and will include guest vocals from Ted Phelps (Imperative Reaction, Chris Pohl (Blutengel/Terminal Choice) and Shaolyn together with a 15-minute short movie with And One’s Steve Naghavi.

Last year Faderhead released the “Horizon Born” EP and early this year the collection “Trilogy” including his best songs from his first three albums. Read More

Covenant presents new single “Lightbringer” – release date announced soon

Finally some news regarding the upcoming new material from Covenant! The band are in the final phase of finishing the new single, “Lightbringer”, and are about to confirm release dates of both the single and forthcoming album “Modern Ruin” soon.

The single will be a collaboration with another Swedish band. More info to be revealed soon.

In other news, the band will release the album “United States of Mind” in a vinyl edition of 500 copies on Dependent and emmo.
